What Is IFRS?

• IFRS stands for International Financial Reporting Standards, internationally recognized
  accounting standards.

• The world economy is globalising not only Corporates giants but small businesses are ready to
  invite foreign investments. And it is another way around also, Hence, Countries must settle for a
  parallel set of accounting standards.

• GAAP (US), Ind AS (India), and IFRS(UK , European countries) are recent standards in the
  accounting industry.

  accountant’s life easy.

• India follows Ind AS which is the adoption of IFRS.

• Almost 144 countries across the world follow IFRS. Even GAAP and IFRS are trying to align with
