Intro DJ Lessons

Blended Beats DJ School provides a range of Classes, Courses and Private tuition into the world DJ'ing, Electronic Music Production, MC'ing & DMX Lighting. Originally set up in 2007 through Degraaf Entertainment as a means of recruiting new DJs for their events, Blended Beats DJ school quickly grew following the technological advancements that have made DJing affordable to everyone and now exclusively caters for the demand for DJ tuition.

Located at 65 Prestige Parade Wangara, in Perth Western Australia, the studio hosts an array of Vinyl, CD and Digital DJing platforms from industry recognised brands such as Technics, Pioneer, Numark & Native Instruments and caters for popular DJ programs like Serato DJ, Traktor, Rekordbox, Virtual DJ & Ableton Push for students to learn on. Students can also bring their own equipment and patch into our in-house PA system . With a range of DJ Courses, Producing Courses, MC & Lighting courses available, there is one for the complete beginner to the seasoned professional. Classes & private lessons are held with full time DJ Michael de Graaf aka DJ Degraaf, who has 16 year's experience playing at numerous events and popular clubs including Mullaloo Beach Hotel, Newport Hotel, Sorrento Quay Annual Fireworks, and many more.

Students will learn all the fundamental techniques that are required to DJ and seamlessly blend two tracks together. These include: Song Structure, Cue Points, Levels & EQs, Cross-Fading & Scratching Techniques and Loops & Effects. We also offer DMX lighting courses, which involve the programming of multiple lighting fixtures to create custom lighting scenes, chases and shows.

Available 7 days a week from 10am to 8pm by appointment. Classes, Courses & Private Lessons are suited to anyone over the age of 8. We also offer the hire of our facilities for private parties/workshops and can cater for schools, corporate, and community events off sight.
