Chicago Industrial Arts and Design Center (CIADC) is a 501(c)(3), not-for-profit, charitable organization. Our mission is to provide continuing education, working access, and community for 3D object makers working with materials and processes requiring industrial workspace, specialized skill-sets, and shop equipment.
We are a multidisciplinary industrial arts and design resource center featuring dedicated studio departments in Casting & Molding, Metalworking & Forging, Technology & Design, and Woodworking, and offer programming for both teens and adults.
Our goal is to remove the common obstacles most people face with making sculptural, functional, decorative, and product-oriented objects using permanent materials. We provide the hands-on learning, a proper workspace, and the shop tools to make for a safe, effective, and fun atmosphere for all-levels of ability and interests.
