If you've never used a sewing machine, then this is the class for you! This is a pre-requisite for all other classes on the sewing machine.
In this class, you will learn to:
thread the machine
wind a bobbin
make a rolled hem on your baby blanket while you get used to a 5/8" seam allowance
learn to pin correctly and sew in the round on pillowcases
make a casing for your drawstring bag (this is the same way you make an elastic waist for your PJs)
These skills lay a strong foundation for you to build on with future sewing projects. In this class, you will complete 3 projects: a cotton pillowcase, a flannel baby blanket, and a cotton drawstring bag.
