Learn how to read a purchased sewing pattern from the outside-in. In this class we will cover how to take your measurements and choose your correct size, learn about "ease" and how to interpret "finished garment measurements", how to read a pattern symbols key, and get advice on best practices in making fabric choices. Laura has been sewing from patterns for 32 years and is here to help you with your questions.

Bring a pattern of your choosing with you to class, and leave with an understanding of how to read all the instructions, cut out your pattern pieces, and the confidence to choose a fabric for your project. Already have some fabric you’re hoping will work? Bring it along and Laura will talk about best practices for working with that textile!

This class requires no previous sewing machine experience.

Runtime : 2 hours.

Class includes access to our counter height tables, measuring tools, full-length mirror, and any tools you might need.
