This course is perfect for those who have never sewn before or those who need a refresher on the sewing machine.
In this 3-day series, you will learn about the parts and accessories of the sewing machine and how to properly wind the bobbin, thread the machine, and check stitch tension.
To ensure that you come out of the course confident with stitching, you will make three Lockstitch & Lustre projects packed with sewing techniques! In the first session, the projects are a catch-all and a hexagon fabric tray; the second project is a pieced envelope pillowcase; and the third project is a choice between a daypack, a courier bag, or an asymmetrical zippered clutch.

CLASS 2 - Pieced Envelope Pillowcase (for standard 20" x 28" pillow)

Home Sewing classes are intended for ages 13 and up. Fashion Design classes are intended for ages 16 and up. If student is below minimum age requirement, private lessons can be scheduled.

The first step in learning how to sew is learning how to use the sewing machine. We teach on any make and model of machine. Our goal is for our students to be comfortable on their sewing machine so they can sew better! This class will be limited to one student.
Technique classes, demonstrations and more provide you with help with any sewing project.
With this introductory pattern-making class, you will learn the how to measure and map the lower body to create a skirt template or sloper that is custom fit to your figure! The final sloper can be used in turn to create patterns for an endless variety of styles of skirts.
