Introduction to Animation is a three-day course that focuses on storytelling through stop-motion animation. You will have the opportunity to explore innovative and original ways of creating and constructing character and narrative.
You will be introduced to industry-standard animation equipment, software, and techniques such as Dragonframe and Stop Motion.This course focuses on the importance of sound and movement in particular, challenging you to reinterpret and invent your own short animated film.
There will be elements of collaborative group work, as well as time to explore animation independently, to reflect the many roles involved in the animation process in industry.
On completion of this course you will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to produce your own animations and independently explore the possibilities of stop-motion.
Example Course Structure
Today participants will discover the impact of sound and how it can bring their animations to life. Participants will also be working on bringing together their final films and adding sound using industry standard editing software. The day will finish with a group viewing of all the films that have been created.

By the end of the course you will be able to start using Cinema 4D within a production environment for simple – moderate tasks.
Lego Animation course training is offered by Can Do Academy for all skill level. Can Do Academy works with kids from 6 years upwards including teens and adults. Our experience includes working with people of all levels of ability and in many different situations.
Animators take the objects created by 2D and 3D artists and breathe life into them by making them move. Working from the designer’s storyboard, they create the movements for characters and vehicles. They add personality, emotion and realism to the games and films.
Through practical projects, you’ll develop your skills in hand-drawn and digital software using a range of tools and techniques to create animations and express your artistic vision.
In this workshop, the group will create a short film using a green screen, a technique that is used in many big-budget feature films to achieve spectacular effects. They can make themselves fly, disappear, visit the bottom of the sea – anything is possible!
