This course has been introduced to allow a complete novice to gain the confidence to go on to further studies within the bricklaying field and to potentially gain a qualification and eventually employment after further studies.

You will learn the basic bricklaying techniques, skills and terminology used by a bricklayer. This introduction will give you the confidence to take your first steps into a career in bricklaying.
This Level 1 course is a mixture of practical and theory, with the majority of the time spent in the workshop, developing the hand skills needed to build cavity walls, solid walls, blockwork and the ability to transfer levels.
You’ll develop the skills and knowledge you need to enter the bricklaying trade within the construction industry. Covering both practical and theoretical aspects of the bricklaying trade, this course offers an ideal introduction to the sector.
