Course Content - Introduction to CAD
Day One and Two
Welcome to the University of Sheffield AMRC Training Centre, where ambition and aspiration is nurtured and developed to create the talented, advanced engineers of tomorrow.
As part of the University of Sheffield Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre, our apprentices are perfectly placed to draw on the experience of an elite Russell Group university and the resources of a world-leading research and innovation organisation, whose 460-plus partners include Siemens, Technicut, Boeing, Rolls-Royce, Toyota Motorsport GMBH, Unilever, McLaren and Airbus.
In addition to our apprenticeship programmes, we also provide Continuing Professional Development (CPD) which is an essential requirement for any organisation. The ability for employers to upskill, reskill or multiskill employees is more important now than ever before.
Our industry-focused courses allow employers to respond to needs and changes, ensuring skills levels are maintained within workforces; and whether that is electrical and robotics, machining, or metals and materials - we’ve got it covered.
This 2D Cad course is an entry-level award covering the very basics of CAD draughting. This course is not discipline specific, although participants are often technicians from an engineering or architectural background.
The 2D Level 2 course is tailored to learners with little or no previous knowledge of CAD. This foundation course is structured to introduce learners to the AutoCAD program and develop their skills to an intermediate level.
This course provides a comprehensive guide to AutoCAD, one of the world’s best design and drafting tools, by analysing the special features and capabilities and outlining the specific uses in multiple industries.
AutoCAD training hosted highly experienced AutoCAD instructors, teaching you the key commands and techniques for producing high quality, accurate 2D drawings.
AutCAD is a software application for computer-aided design and drafting. With AutoCAD, users are able to create precise 2D models for architecture, manufacturing, and more.
