You will learn about working with children at different stages in their growth and development, up to the age of seven years. You also learn how to work with parents, carers and with other professionals in the field of child care and education.

A substantial amount of time every week is spent in compulsory practical placements with children, including schools and nurseries.
Please note: Students who take any Care course will be required to pay for a DBS (Disclosing and Barring Service) check. Support for this may be available.
