Course Details

Students explore several writing methods in order to choose one that suits them. Courses also cover professional standards for the presentation of screenplays and other related materials, story structure, the creation of realistic characters and many other topics while allowing students to develop their cinematic culture and vision. 

The student who successfully completes this program obtains a professional training certificate awarded by our school and is ready to begin their career at the end of their session. 

This program is not offered remotely. In addition, ectq is not a cegep. Our programs do not include general training in french, english, philosophy or other, nor general introductory courses in cinema. 

Why ECTQ?

  1. Participate in writing the script for certain projects of Film Directing students which are filmed in collaboration with the school's other programs;
  2. Write several scripts for short fiction films throughout the session until the final version, under the supervision of professionals;
  3. Develop writing skills in fiction as well as documentaries, advertising or corporate videos;
  4. Experiment with other forms of writing related to cinema, such as video editing;
  5. Participate in filming workshops exclusive to Screenwriting students to make the link between your writing and the reality of production.
