I began crafting and sewing in 2010 (having been told at school that I couldn't sew!) and subsequently completed courses in sewing, felting and mixed media.
In the 4 hour class you will learn how to hoop up your fabric and set your machine up ready to create wonderfully wobbly lines. You’ll then get to grips with using your machine without feed dogs, ‘drawing’ with your machine and adding splashes of colour with fabrics.
We’ll teach you how to use an embroidery foot and hoop to 'draw' with stitches on your sewing machine and create embroidered works of art. Then decorate a calico bag and transfer your design with the help of textile artist Michelle Barnard.
This class will teach you basic embroidery stitches to create beautiful landscape art - whether you are in the studio, at home, hiking, out and about or traveling you can create gorgeous memories of scenes - an amazing keepsake or gift - a fabric postcard!
