Dive into the dynamic world of Human-centred Design Thinking at Monash College, where you’ll transform theory into action and emerge equipped to revolutionise your organisation's approach to problem-solving. This 1-day intensive program, held onsite at Monash College’s Docklands campus, is designed to provide an engaging hands-on practical experience to the Human-centred Design Thinking (HCDT) process.
Delivered by leading HCDT practitioners, participants move through each stage of the process, building knowledge of the various tools and techniques used by HCDT practitioners. At each stage participants work as a team to apply those tools and techniques as they move to a final solution for the problem given. Our facilitators remain hands-on for the duration of the session working as mentors for the participant teams during the practical sessions.
Upon completion of this course participants will depart with tools and techniques to undertake Human Centred Design Thinking and strategies to implement and drive Human-centred Design Thinking through their organisation.

Design thinking is a process for solving problems by prioritising the end user's needs above all else. It is solution based and user centric rather than problem based.
Design thinking is an intentional and collaborative approach to problem-solving. Through design thinking, solutions to complex problems can be identified and developed taking into consideration the personal elements of a problem.
The design thinking methodology adopts a human-centred approach to problem-solving and innovation, prioritising an understanding of user and stakeholder needs and experiences.
Design thinking helps teams to not only come up with hundreds of product ideas, but identify the ideas that are viable, feasible and desirable.
The Design Thinking short course brings together these two worldviews to put the focus on your audiences, end users and customers. By putting human beings at the centre of your innovation efforts, you’ll learn how to turn prototypes into high-value solutions at a much faster rate.
