Follow your dreams and become an apparel designer. Find the right ways to create and promote your visionary skills and your ability to sell your ideas to your devoted customers — then open the door to bring your ideas to light at leading apparel companies.
Learn how to use pattern blocks or slopers to draft your own fashion designs in our Patternmaking Intensive: Create Original Styles Using Pattern Blocks. Students in this patternmaking class learn how to manipulate darts and make style lines to create their own original sewing patterns.
Our afterschool and school day programs use fashion as a means to introduce children (ages 7–13) to low-tech, hands-on activities using fiber and fabric to develop creative expression that supports student authenticity and self-awareness.
Please take a look at our upcoming classes. We also offer private lessons and custom classes by request. Please contact us to sign up for classes or request a private class!
In this 2 part workshop (6 hours total), you will learn to make your own boxy tee, start to finish. This hands-on beginner class will introduce you to the fundamentals of pattern making.
In this 3-class series, you will bring your favorite garments and we will choose one that best fits your sewing experience level and the time required to complete it. I’ll show you how to lay out and trace the individual parts of the garment, create a pattern, and sew your clone.
