In this privately instructed course your teacher will spend four weeks teaching you how to sew and develop a basic vocabulary for sewing construction at your own pace. You will make a tote bag, learn how to prepare and cut fabric, and begin to develop a customized project.
We are OPEN for private lessons up to three people in a household or pod. We are also hosting larger groups for baby showers, corporate outings, birthday parties etc. We travel for in-home lessons, pop-up after school programming, television/film set training etc.
Learn all about triangles and several ways to make half square triangles (HST's), quarter square triangles, and eighth square triangles, flying geese and other angled triangles. Each week you will learn a new technique and how to perfect your techniques.
Join us in-person to make pillowcases for veterans that are part of the Road Home Program at Rush Hospital. The Road Home is dedicated to the mental health and wellness of veterans, service members, members of the National Guard, reservists and families.
Learn how to sew your own jeans in our Jeans-making Sewing Intensive. Students in this sewing class learn professional techniques to make their own custom jeans. Skills learned in this class can be applied to sewing other jeans, trousers, and skirts.
