Computing Kids is an educational enrichment program for children in grades K-8 in the Seattle and Eastside area. We partner with schools, community groups, and parents to bring computer programming classes to kids in a variety of settings.
We have preschool Programmable Floor Robots, to advanced Lego Minstorms EV3 and Vex Robotics Systems, that use IR, Touch, and Light Sensors. Battle your bots in our Battlebots camps, or race our RC Spybots, and navigate through obstacle courses. Learn to build a robot that navigates itself!
This course is designed to build mobile applications (apps), which practically connect coding techniques with real lives. While creating apps that tries to make people’s life better, our students learn practical skills happily and achieve all-rounded self-development.
Students in this class will learn how to build and program an autonomous robot using LEGO® Mindstorms® EV3 technology. Their new skills will be used to solve real-world problems and help the town after a natural disaster.
Beginner level one coding class is for children age 6 years or older. Students will learn Scratch basics and Minecraft programming. The coding class will teach students to create their own interactive stories, games, and animations, and share them with the rest of the world.
Throughout this course, students will build a website using HTML, CSS, and beginner JavaScript. They won’t just learn programming skills; they’ll be building their real-world portfolio.
