Established in 2001, the Vanier College Language School views language as a tool to develop minds, confidence, and life.
We are well known for our reputable English and French non-credit programs, which improve students’ proficiency for career and pre-university studies, work and cultural integration. We also offer Italian, Japanese, Mandarin and Spanish for professional and recreational communication.
To maintain this quality of education, our team of certified teachers has access to resources that integrate either language and academic skills or language and life skills. In addition, we encourage innovative on-the-move learning, which gets students speaking to locals or in everyday contexts.
Our reputation, developed mainly through word-of-mouth, is based on 3 simple principles about learning:
These non-credit courses allow locals to acquire or brush up on skills for international exchange and build confidence.
Spanish is offered at St. Louis Adult Learning & Continuing Education Centers for all skill level.
Our Spanish Fundamentals 2 course helps you build on your Spanish vocabulary and language skills by teaching you to converse about the weather, colours, clothing, conditions, and emotions.
Knowledge of another language can boost your career and provide valuable insight into cultural differences. International House Vancouver language courses will help you build a strong foundation and develop fluency in modern languages so you can converse easily with native speakers.
In this course, the essential language skills--listening, speaking, reading, writing--will be developed simultaneously.
As part of our curriculum, all students are exposed to Latin American cultures through exhibits, sampling ethnic food from different Latin American countries on Saturdays, and music classes.
