IOSH Managing Safety

The IOSH Managing Safely qualification discusses the key information needed to supervise health and safety in your team.

The full course content is:

• Risk management: assessing and controlling risk
• Employers and employee responsibilities
• Defining hazards
• Identifying hazards
• Assessing incidents at work
• Measuring performance
• The environmental effects of business
• Reducing the effects of industry on the environment

Each module gives real-life examples and scenarios, in addition to summaries reinforcing the key concepts taught throughout the course.

Assessment and Certification:

Candidates will receive a course booklet to assist them throughout the day. During the course, candidates will undertake an exam paper alongside a practical risk assessment project which tests their understanding of the course.

Successful candidates will receive their certificate, which is accredited through IOSH, shortly after the training day.

There is no set expiry date for the qualification, however, candidates can take an IOSH Managing Safely Refresher course if they wish to refresh their knowledge.
