Course Details

The units that the learner will be refreshed upon:

 

Level 1)

  • Assist in rig and non-standard operations
  •  Undertake a rescue involving descent by themself knowledge of hauling systems
  •  Inspect their own personal rope and equipment
  •  Use access equipment correctly

 

Level 2)

  •  Perform advanced rope access tasks under the supervision of an IRATA level 3 rope access technician
  •  Have knowledge of legislation, safety requirements and quality assurance procedures in relation to rope access
  •  Undertake advanced rescues under the supervision of an IRATA level 3 rope access technician

 

Level 3)

  •  Supervise rope access and rescue work projects
  •  Demonstrate all the skills and knowledge required of IRATA rope access levels 1 and 2
  •  Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of advanced rope and rescue techniques
  •  Understand techniques and legislation
  •  Have knowledge of the IRATA training, assessment and certification scheme
  •  Be familiar with the contents of the IRATA Code of Practice (ICOP)

Entry Requirements

This training course will revalidate your IRATA  certificate for another 3 years.
Don’t lose out by getting in early. You can revalidate up to 6 months before your expiry date, and the new certification will run for 3 years from the original expiry date.

Required to Pass

Learners must have a good understanding of spoken and written English to attend the course and be able to undertake any practical elements if required to do so to in order to pass the course.
Aswell as completing a written and Oral examination including  guidelines, legislation & standards, maintenance & inspection of equipment and worksite organisation.
