ISO 14001:2015 Lead Auditor Environmental Management System

This intensive five-day advanced auditor’s course designed for those people wishing to develop their environmental auditing skills to a professional level either to improve company auditing processes or to audit systems in a third party capacity.

Course attendees are assessed on their knowledge and understanding throughout the course and will also be required to sit a 2-hour open book examination to assess their level of understanding.

Prior Knowledge

All attendees must be familiar with the text of ISO 14001:2015 (or EMAS in the EU).

This course is aimed at environmental graduates or professionals with knowledge of organizational environmental performance management including system standards.

Course Objectives

The course will help delegates to understand the principles of good Environmental Management and to develop their knowledge of the environmental management standards.

It will also develop delegates’ knowledge & understanding of different audit types, and the practical skills required to plan, execute and report environmental management audits.

On completion, delegates will be able to evaluate the effectiveness of an EMS based on the ISO 14001:2015 standard or EMAS standards at a level acceptable to certification bodies.
