The ISO 45001 Lead Auditor training provides the necessary expertise to carry out audits of Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (OHSMS) by applying generally recognized auditing principles, procedures, and techniques.

 

Educational Objectives of the ISO 45001 Lead Auditor Training:

  • The concepts and tools of an Occupational Health and Safety Management System (SMSTT)
  • To prepare and launch the audit process according to the different methods and requirements of the ISO 45001 standard
  • To manage the different stages of an audit and communicate the relevant elements of the process
  • To identify the conclusions of an audit and argue them with management
  • A Implement follow-up through the evaluation of corrective action plans

 

Course of the ISO 45001 Lead Auditor Training:

  • Module 1 of the ISO 45001 Lead Auditor training: Introduction to the OSHMS and the ISO 45001 standard
    • Situate the ISO 45001 standard within the normative and regulatory framework of occupational health and safety.
    • Describe the ISO 45001 certification process.
    • Master the basic principles of occupational health and safety.
    • Know the clauses of the OSHMS and all the requirements of the ISO 45001 standard.
  • Module 2 of the ISO 45001 Lead Auditor training: Principles, preparation and triggering of the audit
    • Master the fundamental principles and concepts of auditing.
    • Explain the types of evidence and the audit approach based on evidence and risk, as well as materiality.
    • Trigger, plan and initiate an audit.
    • Carry out the documentary audit of an SMSST (step 1).
    • Prepare for the on-site audit (step 2).
  • Practical work
    • Writing exercise on ethics and reactions following the various cases proposed. Exercise to formalize the objectives of stages 1 and 2 of the audit.
  • Module 3 of the ISO 45001 Lead Auditor training: On-site audit activities
    • Comply with audit procedures.
    • Write audit test plans.
    • Formulate audit findings and non-conformity reports.
    • Communicate during the audit.
  • Practical work
    • Scenarios of conduct of an opening meeting, interview with the management of the company, interview with the staff.
  • Module 4 of the ISO 45001 Lead Auditor training: Closing the audit
    • Manage audit documentation and perform audit quality review.
    • Evaluate action plans as an auditor.
    • Describe the steps to be taken following the initial audit.
    • Integrate the management of an internal audit program.
    • Identify and assess the skills of auditors.
  • Practical work
    • Scenario of exchanges on the preliminary conclusions of the audit with the management, conduct of the closing meeting, evaluation of the corrective actions.
  • Module 5 of the ISO 45001 Lead Auditor training: Preparation for the certification exam
    • Presentation of the certification process.
    • Domains 1 and 2: fundamental principles and concepts of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System.
    • Domain 3: fundamental principles and concepts of auditing.
    • Areas 4 and 5: preparing and carrying out an ISO 45001 audit.
    • Domain 6: closing an ISO 45001 audit.
    • Domain 7: management of an ISO 45001 audit program.
