IT Support (DEP)

Are you passionate about IT and do you like new information technologies? Do those around you recognize you by your resourcefulness, your rigor and your analytical mind?

Do you find it easy to follow established protocols and demonstrate skill in problem solving? Do you have communication skills?

If, on top of that, logical reasoning is second nature, you're able to adapt to change, and work effectively under pressure, you have the essential qualities for a successful career in IT support.

As a computer technician, you will have to perform technical work such as the assembly and repair of computers as well as the installation of software on a computer network or on a stand-alone station. You will also provide bilingual customer support.

Conditions of admission:

• You must have a high school diploma (DES) or meet one of these profiles:
• Be at least 16 years old by September 30 of the current school year and have successfully completed Secondary IV credits in French, English and mathematics;
• Have the study equivalencies recognized by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education;
• Be at least 18 years old when starting the training and have the functional prerequisites prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
• The admission process includes a mandatory information session.
• The program can also be offered in conjunction with general adult education.
