This course will introduce students to Japanese culture and language class for beginners and people who wish to visit Japan.
We are happy you're here! Welcome to Fraser ACE - Adult Community Education. We exist to bring fun and practical learning to the Waikato region and beyond. Education changes lives and we provide over 50 opportunities per term for everyone in our community to meet people and try new skills.
All our programmes are delivered by experienced professionals and incorporate numeracy, literacy and social wellbeing elements.
Government Supported Student Courses.
These courses are supported by the TEC (Tertiary Education Commission) to assist with any literacy or numeracy needs of students. You must attend 80% of classes. At the same time we hope you will learn other useful and interesting skills and have a lot of fun learning with us.
Government priorities for Adult and Community Education (ACE) are to encourage new learners, specifically Maori, Pacific Islanders and those who feel their initial learning was not successful, to re-engage with their learning and improve numeracy and literacy skills.
Teaching on a one-to-one basis means we can provide the kind of teaching you require and at your pace. We can also offer two-to-one, three-to-one etc. We consult with you to find out your specific requirements and to gear the course accordingly.Â
This conversation-based course includes the basics of vocabulary and Japanese culture. It is suitable for absolute beginners or those who know a little Japanese such as greetings.
There are many job opportunities in both Japan and New Zealand, using Japanese, in the tourism and business sector. Learning Japanese also facilitates the learning of other languages. The discipline and skills used to learn Japanese have been proven to benefit further study.
Studying Japanese at University gives you in-depth knowledge of Japan’s language, culture and society. Studying Japanese at the University of Auckland will allow you to combine language learning with courses in Japanese culture and society, history, and religion.
An introduction to Japanese greetings, letters and culture will be covered. This is an ideal course for the absolute beginner who wants to start learning casual Japanese sentences and conversation. A great skill for business, or just for personal interest or travel.
