  • I warmly welcome you to join my Japanese culture and language class for beginners and people who wish to visit Japan. My name is Lorina Quill and my history in Japanese goes back to when I was 13 years old. I attended high school for a year in Kyoto, Japan and then I taught English in Tokyo, Japan for 2 years. I gained a degree in Japanese language from the University of Waikato in 2000, then began teaching Japanese in New Zealand high schools in 2005. My passion for teaching and sharing my knowledge of Japan and its many wonders is still burning strong. I hope you will gain many valuable cultural and language lessons from joining me in this class. I wish to share a little cooking lesson with you, practical everyday conversational skills and a bit of traditional culture and etiquette as well.
