Teaching, and learning, languages has allowed me to gain awareness of many issues language learners face. For more efficiency, I take every possible opportunity to keep improving my teaching skills, and my learning methods.
One of my former students is a nurse who had never learned French before we met. She wanted to immigrate to Quebec and in just 1 month I taught her conversation tips. She flew to New York where and was able to have one- hour interview all in French languages, and she passed her French test!!
Students will be introduced to Japanese writing system (i.e. Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji) and will learn how to use a computer to write Japanese. Students will practice basic conversations in the target language and learn about Japanese culture.
Japanese is a Category IV language. It takes on average 64 weeks of full-time training to reach a limited working proficiency (ILR level 2). The exact time needed will depend on many factors.
Students will learn basic conversational skills, numbers, days of the week, months of the year, introductory phrases, how to express one's interests, describe one's family, and how to form sentences using common adjectives, nouns, and verbs.Â
This course is a continuation of Beginning Japanese. It will include review and application of skills in listening comprehension, speaking, reading, and writing.
Our classes are designed for adults and children at all levels of proficiency, from complete beginners to those who are well-experienced in a language.
