For Little Learners:
In these classes, children grasp the basic vocabulary and grammar used in everyday life, learn hiragana, katakana, 20 kanji, get basic ideas of Japanese culture, history, and geography.
Lessons will be full of fun activities: playing games, reading and discussing books, watching and discussing animated cartoons, practicing Origami (the traditional Japanese art of paper folding), singing and reciting poems and singing songs such as Koinobori (Carp Streamer), Chatumi (Tea Picking), Umi (Sea), Hotaru (Firefly), Shiawasenara Teotatakou (If you are happy and you know it, clap your hands), etc.
For Young Scholars:
The goal of this course is to teach students basic Japanese vocabulary and grammar used in everyday life, introduce them to hiragana, katakana, and 20 kanji and give them basic knowledge of Japanese culture, history, and geography.
At the lessons, we read and discuss books and magazines, do grammar exercises, watch and discuss animated cartoons and movies, recite poems, and play role games. Educational materials and activities vary depending on the student’s age.
For High School:
LMLC provides one-on-one tutoring in Japanese 1, 2, and 3. Following the Californian High School standards and requirements, we always consider students’ unique abilities and learning styles and tailor each session to individual needs.
AP Japanese Language and Culture course introduces students to a broad spectrum of Japanese culture, historical and contemporary issues of social and political life; covers a broad spectrum of lexical and grammar material, corresponding to the requirements of the Advanced Placement Program and enabling students to get ready for the AP exam.
For Adults:
If you would like to learn conversational or business language, our teachers will be happy to see you among our students.

Most of our instructors are experienced professionals with bachelor’s, Master’s, or even PhD degrees. Some classes are led by upper-grade college students with a high GPA and at least 2 years of tutoring experience. All of our tutors are highly qualified, energetic, and passionate about teaching.
Japanese language classes are offered by The Arts Center for All.Our teachers studied in the country and visit Japan every year to keep with all the changes in the country.
