​In-Schools Program
In-School Programs take place in 27 schools across Darwin, Palmerston and the rural areas. Our teachers teach over 6,000 students using programs aligned to the Australian Curriculum Languages in Auslan, Indonesian, Japanese, and Mandarin.10 languages are taught to over 300 students each week. Auslan, French, Japanese, German, Greek, Indonesian, Italian, Mandarin, Portuguese, and Spanish.
Adult Short Courses
Adult Short Courses offer a wide range of opportunities for adults to learn new skills and make connections through a range of recreational activities. We run classes in the Arts, Music, Photography, Cooking, Languages, Sewing, Health, and Wellbeing, plus many more.
This course is suitable for complete beginners and participants who are in the beginner level and is delivered by a native Japanese speaker. In this course, we will focus on basic skills. Such as the pronunciation, the basic grammar and the basic vocabulary, in understanding and communicating.
Japanese is the official language of Japan. It is also widely used by communities of speakers in Hawaii, Peru and Brazil, and learnt as an additional language by large numbers of students in the Republic of Korea, China, Indonesia and Australia.
Japanese courses offer a unique opportunity to learn a language spoken by over 130 million people and explore the rich culture and history of Japan. With its complex system of honourifics and hierarchical nature, Japanese is an intriguing and rewarding language to learn.
This course is designed for students who wish to study Japanese in Years 9 and 10 as an elective subject. Students with no knowledge, some prior knowledge or background knowledge of Japanese are eligible to study this course. The course is delivered online through Canvas and contains.
