The selected language used is the Java programming language. The course is divided into two parts.
Part I address basic programming concepts and associated technologies.
Target Audience:
Students who can benefit from this course are programmers who are interested in adding the Java programming language to their list of Programming skills.
Recommended Prerequisites:
A working knowledge of computer principles and/or legacy programming languages is required

After completing this course, the delegate should be able to:
Understand basic programming principles and be capable of designing an algorithm to implement a solutions to business problems.
Understand Object Orientation in terms of programming OOP applications using Java.
Read and understand Java application programs in terms of structure, methods, data-types and be able to use standard Java classes.
Code basic Java application programs that implement user and generic algorithms.
Formative assessment is carried out during the training via course activities. An optional written knowledge questionnaire and if applicable, or assignment that the learners are required to complete as part of their course content. Learners will receive a certificate of competence on successful completion of the course
