The jazz syllabus is also based on a graded system. This system is introduced with pre-jazz and then develops through an additional 5 grades.
UUC is proud to offer a jazz program that is spirited, contemporary and comprehensive – designed to give students the technique and opportunity to explore various jazz styles from warm-ups to traveling steps and combinations from beginner to advanced.
Technical and choreographic course that allows dancers to explore several styles of jazz, in addition to working on basic dance technique and developing strength, flexibility and body expression in a harmonious and safe way
Starting at the age of four, our jazz program includes upbeat and current music. Our jazz students thrive in different genres of dance, and have the opportunity to showcase their sassy side! Our jazz program is complimented by the flex and progressions classes
Ballet, Hip Hop, Baton, Musical Theatre and Acrobatics classes can be added to compliment the dancer’s training. Students are grouped according to age, ability and previous training.  Pre-Junior Level 1 students will be performing 1 routine and will have 1 costume.
