Jazz has become one of the most popular dance forms of recent years, mainly due to its popularity in movies, music videos, television shows and commercials. It is a continuously changing and evolving genre which includes many styles such as Broadway, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop, Funk and Lyrical to name a few.

Denise Dancing was established in 1982. Commencing at the McDonald Hall in Padbury & the Ocean Ridge Recreation Centre.
Due to the success & growth of the school in 1991 it was obvious that the Denise Dancers needed a home of their very own, therefore Miss Denise opened Joondalup’s very first dance studio.

The perfect place to start learning basic kicks turns leaps and placement of your body while dancing to popular upbeat tunes and having a ball.
This combination class will expose students to a range of techniques relevant to Jazz and Lyrical.
Jazz uses the latest dance moves to latest music. A Jazz routine incorporates stylized dance movements and combinations, formation changes, group work, leaps and turns.
Today, jazz dance continues to evolve and blend with other dance styles — for example, street jazz and theatre dance.This emerging style of technical jazz became popular in the movement of Jack Cole, Jerome Robbins, Gwen Verdon, and Bob Fosse.
