Established in 1994 by Creative Director and Founder Sherese Campbell, Houston City Dance Studio is a nonprofit dance school and performing arts organization that seeks to reflect the ethnic diversity of the Houston Metropolitan area.

  • Stephanie Sermas began studying dance at an early age. After receiving a degree in International Business and Marketing from Georgetown University, Stephanie earned a Master’s Degreeq in Education. She holds certifications to teach Dance and Theater in Texas public schools and currently works as the Dance Director at the Awty International School in Houston, TX. Stephanie has worked with Houston City Dance since 2009 and began performing with the Professional Company in 2010. Through Houston City Dance, Stephanie has furthered her creative expression in choreography: two of Stephanie’s works were performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2014, and her first full-length evening work, Calliope!, premiered with the company in March 2018. At Houston City Dance, Stephanie teaches jazz, modern, and tap classes from the beginner to professional level. She also taught master classes in tap dance for the Bailando Dance Festival in Corpus Christi.
