DurationJazz is energetic and exciting - Perfect for your child to burn off all that energy they have! We teach the ATOD Jazz syllabus at Precision Dance which has the perfect balance of fun and technical work.
Students can start learning jazz with us from age 4 and a half. The ATOD syllabus is loaded with fun ways to teach jazz technique, it never gets boring.
As the students get older they get more different styles added into their syllabus, this includes funk routines, musical theatre routines and lyrical routines.
All jazz classes have the opportunity to sit an exam annually, this is not compulsory but we do encourage the children to give it a go, it gives them something to work towards and most of our students do sit the exam.

Precision Dance has classes in ATOD Ballet, Jazz, and Contemporary. We also teach Pre-School Ballet and Pre-Grade Ballet, Private Lessons, Acrodance and Competition Work.
We love getting to know every child individually so that we can work out the perfect teaching plan for them, this is why our classes are small.
We pride ourselves in fostering a love and passion for dance, while teaching correct technique in a safe and supportive environment.

The Chilton Dance Centre training in Modern Jazz is based on the New Zealand Association of Modern Dance (NZAMD) syllabus.
The dance training focuses on a blend of genres packaged into bite-sized combinations.
ATt AMJAZZ we offer the American Jazz Dance Affiliation (AJDA) syllabus from Intro 1 to Advanced Solo-Seal. Both male and female dancers can enrol from the age of 6 years. Adult classes for beginners or adults returning to dance are also available
Classes designed for anyone over 16 Â for anyone who is new to dance and those that have done a fair bit of dance.
