These classes incorporate jazz and contemporary styles. Many students of these classes also attend calisthenics classes. Others enjoy jazz on its own.
Our students enjoy performing in our annual concert and displaying new skills, fantastic fitness, and improved confidence.

Students may attend as many, or as few, different types of classes as they like. Each class is age-specific and tailored to meet needs and skill levels of each age group.
For some students, dance class is simply an enjoyable after-school activity with the benefit of friendship and fitness. For others, the classes form an integral part of their social and sporting life. We cater for each level of commitment.

Jazz is one of the most popular styles of dance and is one of the basic fundamentals of all dance style.
This is a great class to get the children going! Being a non-examination level, this class uses a range of pop music that the children love. It is a fun energetic class, but at the same time is developing the students skill in timing & rhythm, co-ordination, elevation and flexability.
Sunshine Coast Performing Arts College offers Jazz classes in the Commonwealth Society of Teaches of Dance syllabus.
A Jazz Class starts with a warm-up, then technical work including kicks, leaps and turns are done from the corner, finishing the class with choreography.
