Course Details

K-pop (short for Korean pop) is a hard-hitting, fast-paced genre of dance style similar to Hip Hop, originating in South Korea.

If you love the iconic performances of bands like Blackpink, BTS, Big Bang, 2Ne1 and Girls Generation, this class is for you!

In this class you’ll learn skills and techniques like popping, voguing, waacking, windmilling, just like the members of Korea’s iconic K-pop groups.

Perform your favourite moves and fresh choreography with plenty of energy, attitude, and style in this exciting new course!

What to Wear:

As per Hip Hop classes, loose-fitting track or cargo pants, with comfortable tops (t-shirt, hoodies, tank tops, singlets, off-shoulder tops etc) are suitable.
Sneakers preferred for this class. This course is all about the groove and attitude, so it is important that dancers dress the part so they can feel the part.

Isabel has danced at The WA Performance School since 2011, studying various styles of dance at the studio, before going on to become a teacher’s assistant and eventually a senior teacher. Isabel’s passion is Hip Hop, though she loves most modern styles of dance! Isabel has completed and performed locally for many years at events including Fringe Festival, HBF Stadium, Perth Heat games, KickstART festival and Northbridge Piazza. Isabel has studied dance at WAPS, St Hilda’s, and learned in masterclasses from Cirque du Soleil as well as Dance Excellence in Los Angeles, where her IPB ensemble performance earned the festival’s top honour for the highest possible score category. Isabel balances her passion for dance and teaching with a double degree, studying psychology and marketing.
