Today the 3rd generation of Perth students are still learning from Jan de Jong’s son, Master Hans de Jong and continuing to teach the self defence system respected by martial artists across Australia and Europe.

HCD Martial Art Academy teaches a freestyle martial art style called Hyung Chi Do. Hyung Chi Do is the result of a lifetime of dedicated training, mental, physical and spiritual development.
Our Karate program is enriched with innovative and conscientious techniques that allows our students to progress at their own pace to achieve goals and develop a positive mind-set.
The Kids Karate Club provides classes for children aged 6 to 8 years and 9 to 12 years. We offer a personalized training format with a limited class size. Students must be booked in to ensure the correct student-to-instructor ratio is maintained.
Basic and advanced techniques for Karate course is offered by Tang Soo Do Karate. These include hand, foot and blocking techniques and also stances.
Fun Kids Karate Club course is offered by Traditional Shoyokan Karate Federation. Kids of all ages are welcome! Classes are held on Wednesdays at the school hall from 3:15pm to 4:15pm.
