Course Details

Chidokan Karate-Do is a style of Karate that originated from Shotokan Karate-Do.  Many of the training techniques, kata and kihon are identical or very similar to those seen in most other Karate Dojos.

Our style focuses on building a strong foundation through kihon exercises and kata training. When Sasaki Sensei created Chidokan, he borrowed and developed a number of techniques and exercises that are a fairly unique to our style.

Our kata syllabus covers the following kata:

  • Taikoyoku kata (1,2,3)

  • Heian kata (1,2,3,4,5)

  • Tekki kata (1,2,3)

  • Bassai Dai

  • Empi

  • Kankudai

  • Hangetsu

  • Jion

  • Jitte

  • Gankaku
