As the Founder and Chief Instructor of The Eagle Kickboxing Academy, I specialise in K-1 Kickboxing, Muay Thai/Thai boxing, self-defence and overall fitness. My journey in martial arts began at a young age, sparked by my fascination with Bruce Lee films and the legendary boxing matches of Joe Frazer, a favourite of my father’s. I spent countless hours honing my skills at home, creating makeshift punch bags made out of refuse bags filled with sand, which fuelled my determination and bolstered my confidence. I then took the leap to join an amateur boxing gym, where my passion truly began to flourish.
My enthusiasm expanded beyond boxing into karate, taekwondo and jujitsu, ultimately leading me to discover my passion for k-1 kickboxing. I have many years’ experience of amateur and pro k-1 kickboxing and Thai boxing fights. Additionally, I have also trained at some of the top training camps in Holland. I hold a second-degree black belt, and a two times’ black belt, recognised by the WPKA and ISKA. I have previously served as the WFMC K-1 Kickboxing National Coach and WFMC K-1, Muay Thai/Thai boxing and low kick official referee. I have completed First Aid and Safeguarding Protecting Children training, and am DBS checked and possess indemnity insurance.
These Kickboxing classes are structured around the Mo-Gei-Do™ Kickboxing curriculum, and are designed to teach you Martial Arts skills to a high level whilst also developing your fitness, flexibility, strength and body tone.
We take pride in our teaching methods, which have produced numerous champions over the years. Our instructors have years of experience in kickboxing and K1, and are passionate about helping students achieve their goals.
In this class we break out the focus pads and bags. The aim of the game is to hit harder and faster, often working for extended periods of time with a partner or on your own this class really challenges your endurance. We then finish off with some core work.
One of the best things a parent can do for their child is to get them into a good martial arts club, a good club will tick all the right boxes. Our club teaches children kickboxing & sparring skills correctly and ultimately this will strengthen their: bodies & minds, self-defence skills, confidence
