Supplies Needed:
sewing machine in good working order, with bobbins and machine accessories (Need to borrow a machine from us? CONTACT US by phone to reserve one.)
Absolute beginners should have 1/2 yard cotton muslin for practice stitching
Additionally, please budget $30 - $50 for pattern and fabric for your class project - selections will be made during first class. Cost will vary with project choice.
You will also need the following BASIC SEWING SUPPLIES (also available for purchase as a kit - call store for details):
sewing scissors
tape measure
straight pins
seam ripper
6" seam gauge
washable fabric marker or chalk pencil
one package of assorted size Universal sewing machine needles
hand sewing needles

In this workshop, you'll start by making one small block using Foundation Paper Piecing. Then you'll repeat that block three more times and join them all together at the end! All materials will be provided for you.

Join us in-person to make pillowcases for veterans that are part of the Road Home Program at Rush Hospital. The Road Home is dedicated to the mental health and wellness of veterans, service members, members of the National Guard, reservists and families.
In the Children’s Sewing Class, beginning and intermediate students will learn how to use their machine, take measurements , lay out and cut fabric, read a pattern, understand the pattern directions, finish seams and learn sewing techniques. Students will advance at their own pace.
