We pride ourselves on the variety of activities and opportunities we offer the children who attend.
Kidsbase Holiday Programmes are a great way for kids to stay active and engaged in a safe and encouraging environment. We pride ourselves on the variety of activities and opportunities we offer the children who attend.
Interactive excursions are planned every Tuesday and Thursday of each holiday week to ensure all the children get the opportunity to visit off-site activities.
Healthy morning tea and afternoon tea (for 6pm bookings only) are also provided every day during our holiday programmes, all we ask is that all children attending a Kidsbase Holiday Programme have their own full packed lunch.
We also understand that the needs of a 5 year old and the needs of a 12 year old are quite different so with this in mind we created the Kidsbase 10+ Club.
Older kids need their own space to “Hang Out” and communicate amongst their pears, the 10+ club is an opportunity for any child who is 10 years or older to engage in more age-appropriate activities whilst still under the leadership of Kidsbase.
Since 2006, Pauline and Matthew Howden have been directing Kidsbase towards enriching the lives of children through OSCAR programmes.
Even before 2006, Pauline has been involved with children as a Primary Level Teacher who has taught in New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom.
We are also parents to 3 amazing children which gives us first-hand experience in understanding the needs of children, and of course the needs and demands of busy family life.
At Kidsbase we pride ourselves on offering quality, safety and most of all fun, through a dedicated team of staff all committed to delivering exceptional programmes for the children, parents and wider communities.
With well-established venues in Government and Catholic Integrated schools across Christchurch and North Canterbury, Kidsbase have become experts on what kids want and what parents/caregivers need.
OSCAR (Out of School Care and Recreation) programmes are seen as important opportunities for promoting healthy child development by engaging children in physical and creative activities and for developing life skills within their community.
