From when we first started Kids Inc right through to now, we have always been about providing an environment that satisfied the needs of both children and parents.
We are proud of what we have created; kids love coming to before and after school care and school holiday programmes and parents are confident leaving their precious children with us, knowing they are in the best care.
Belong
At Kids Inc we provide a safe, caring, supportive and fun environment where everyone has a sense of belonging. Kids from all backgrounds, cultures and languages are welcome.
A sense of belonging is extremely powerful for anyone, but especially kids. When children feel a sense of belonging, they feel safe, they can be emotionally strong, confident, more willing to try new things, deal with challenges and be part of a community.
We become a familiar environment for our kids where they fit in, where they have a place, where they have a voice - this makes them feel content and fulfilled.
Engage
Engagement is a main focus for us at Kids Inc. This is felt throughout; with teachers, kids and parents, and children love being engaged in a fun environment.
Our teachers don’t just 'mind' the kids in their care, they make genuine connections. Our kids aren't just observers, they are active and hands on. They have fun and make great friends at the same time!
Our parents are also an important part of our engagement. We keep them up to date and share highlights of the day with them, so they are part of the environment too.
Explore
We operate using the Learning Through Play approach and our kids are open to explore and to be challenged. We think it’s super important to have children involved in the process, not just the outcome.
When we explore we are opening up our minds to discovery and curiosity - great traits for kids to have. At Kids Inc, children get a chance to be creative too.
We aren't about 'supervised free time' but rather freedom of choice. While we have organised activities and different areas available, the kids can choose what they want to do.
They might choose to read a book in a quiet area if they are tired, play a team sport if they want social interaction or do some baking, if they want to try something new.
