A Living and Learning Community
The King’s experience spills into every aspect of life on and off campus.
You’ll be part of a small and extraordinary living and learning academic community in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
You can study renowned interdisciplinary programs in the humanities and journalism.
You’ll have a unique home where students, faculty, alumni and staff try to bring greater understanding, creativity and compassion to the world.
A Unique Education in Canada
Learn differently.
Unlike other institutions, King’s doesn’t separate subjects into disciplines. Instead, your unique interdisciplinary focus looks at the ways these subjects interact and overlap. Here, you get a higher education built on an immersive way of learning.
In this training, your time will be devoted to writing letters of recommendation, of persuasion, of refusal or of action, that reflect current word usage and up-to-date formats.
A workshop course that introduces students to a dynamic genre that combines aspects of journalism, features, fiction, drama and poetry
In this collaborative weekly workshop, writing prompts and exercises will encourage writers of all skill levels to stretch their creative muscles and explore new themes and styles.
Our advanced writing course caters to helping your kids develop a comprehensive approach to English proficiency.
By the end of the course, students will have a portfolio of polished writing in three genres.
