Starlight Knitting Society is a full service knit and crochet shop in Portland's deep Southeast neighborhoods. We sit at the crux of Woodstock, Brentwood-Darlington, Foster-Powell, Reed, Eastmoreland, Mt. Scott, Ardenwald and Creston-Kenilworth. This class is The Nifty Knitter version of a Costco sample! If you're curious about our craft but not ready to make any commitments, this is your opportunity to try a "taste". Participants will be introduce to the knit stitch as they create a very simple (and cute!) flower accessory.
A beginner-friendly small group class for all levels supporting Independent project work on the pattern of your choice. Learn from the beginning or tackle the next big skill with expert instruction and guidance to get you off on the right foot and work through challenging patterns.Â
In this class you will learn to use an inkle loom and tablets to weave simple designs. With the same threading, you will be able to weave pattern variations depending on how you turn the tablets. It is fun to experiment and see what new patterns you can create!
You will learn Rag Quilting basics while making a warm & cozy quilt for Winter. This is a quilt-as-you-go pattern & easy to adjust to fit your needs. Stop by the store & get yours to do some pre-cutting before class.
Join us and learn new knitting techniques! In this class we'll focus on learning two-color Brioche using the Brioche My Heart pattern from Knit Graffiti Designs.
