Knitting for Beginner’s – This class will teach you all the basics of knitting. That’s casting on, knit stitch, purl stitch, basic cable and of course casting off again! You’ll use all these stitches to make a super cosy knitted headband! This class includes all materials so all you have to do is bring yourself!
Crochet for Beginner’s – Another great class for beginners who want to learn loads of stitches in one sitting(it’s not difficult we promise!) We’ll make the famous granny squares in this class which can be joined together and made into a cosy blanket if you fancy!?
At Sew Confident Chorley we have a huge range of classes available in our fully equipped studio which can be found on St. Georges Street, Chorley. We provide a friendly and very social environment for you to learn to sew and meet new friends.

Knitting classes are offered by Ginger Twist Studio for all skill level. Ginger Twist Studio hosts a variety of knitting, crochet, and spinning workshops in the dye studio.
You will learn the basics of crochet; how to hold the hook and yarn, chain stitch, single, double and treble stitches. You will produce pretty little squares which can be linked together to create a cushion, scarf, etc. You will gain all the skill you need to continue your masterpiece at home.
This course is a fun introduction to hand knitting, with an emphasis on developing an experimental approach to your knitting.
The Spice of Life crochet blanket from Sandra Paul of Cherry Heart is a wonderful blanket which covers a range of techniques and stitches and is intended to help someone who has learnt the basics of crochet and is now looking to increase their crochet confidence.
This class is suitable for total beginners – no knitting or crafting experience is required. You’ll be taught how to use your arms as knitting needles and you’ll create your whole blanket before the workshop has ended (approximately 150cm x 90cm).
