What will I learn?
Content includes:
Knitting materials: Needles and wool
Needle positioning
Tying a slip knot and casting on
Knitting techniques: Rows, row counting and stitches
Adding in new colours / different wool
Purling
Casting off and neatening up
Patterns
You may bring your own wool and needles but 6mm knitting needles, wool and hand-outs will be provided.

We offer a wide range of knitting and crochet workshops at Sharp Works. Whether you are a complete beginner or a more experienced knitter/crocheter, we have something for you. We run specialist technique workshops alongside our popular beginners knitting and crochet classes.
I believe that knitting can be fun and relaxing and my workshops are informal in style with lots of laughter and conversation. My teaching style is based on encouragement. I firmly believe that everyone can be creative in some way and I enjoy helping people discover this.
