  • Teacher's Experience
  • Ashley graduated from Kyungsung University (Busan, South Korea) with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. As part of her degree, she completed one semester abroad, at Singapore's PSB Academy. It was during her stay in Singapore that Ashley first considered looking for a job here after graduation. Ashley out-shined hundreds of applicants and was scouted for our Graduate Korean Language Specialist Programme during the competitive Graduation season in Seoul. She joined us in 2016, and was trained from scratch under the mentorship of our Principal on the art of Korean Language instruction, where she once again impressed with an extremely hardworking and determined attitude. As she began her teaching journey, Ashley discovered how much joy she derived from sharing her knowledge about her mother tongue with non-native learners. She became known as a very optimistic and dedicated teacher who sets high standards for all her students, and who also constantly tries to keep improving and learning through the sharing of different perspectives. Certain that she has found her passion in teaching, she amassed a few years of dedicated full time teaching experience as a Junior Teacher in Sejong before being promoted to the rank of Senior Teacher, and eventually Head of the Academic Faculty in Sejong Korean Language School. As Faculty Head, Ashley works alongside the Principal in overseeing the faculty with her main focus being the Teacher Mentorship Programme. She has proven to be an excellent mentor for all new teachers with very high standards. Being a fresh grad from Seoul herself who migrated to Singapore after passing our rigorous recruitment process and having undergone the intensive teacher training in our school, she is a prime example of someone who can provide guidance and share her experiences with new teachers.
