Course Details

Historically Korean has not been studied by many native English speakers but this is changing, largely due to South Korea's growing role in the world economy and global popular culture.

Additionally, there is a large, vibrant and growing Korean community in north metro-Atlanta that is contributing to the local interest in learning Korean - and in local Korean's learning English.

For individuals interested in the structure of languages, Korean offers something vastly different from most European languages.

The Korean alphabet, Hangeul, is phonetic with twenty-four (24) letters and is considered very easy to read and write.  It is especially interesting in that the language has many unique linguistic and cultural aspects.
