Training methodology:

  • This practical and results-oriented labview training course is based on adult learning concept. It incorporates short inspiring lectures with structured lessons from the learning manual; captivating powerpoint slides with videos to enhance learning; ongoing discussions with action planning; ample time for q&a; training activities to reinforce key concepts within a fun learning environment.
  • Approximately one-third of the total time will be devoted to practical activities. Delegates will acquire the skills to model and simulate electrical and instrumentation systems from a given sensor(s) and specification and also, using relevant software, acquire the skills to -tune- an electrical system.
  • Participants need to bring their own laptop for practical exercises. Software familiarity or previous experience is not required.
  • Pre & Post course assessments will be used to measure the effectiveness of this training.

Target audience

The LabVIEW training course is designed for Engineers, Technicians and Professionals involved in the Electrical Engineering Industry who require an appreciation and understanding of the techniques used in modelling and simulation of electrical systems, including:

  • Communication Engineers and Technicians
  • Instrumentation Engineers and Technicians
  • Control Engineers and Technicians
  • Sales & Marketing Professionals
  • Power Systems Engineers and Technicians

Course overview

  • In most industrial situations, there is a need to model and simulate systems. The traditional programming is not very efficient for this job. Hence, there is a need for graphical programming which relies mainly on data flow and signal flow. LabVIEW provides such an environment for modeling and simulating most of the electrical systems and sub-systems.
  • Delegates will investigate the operating principles and concepts of LabVIEW application. Moreover, the delegate will gain basic skills of modeling and simulate systems based on block diagrams.
  • This is a practical course and, where applicable, theoretical studies will be supplemented with practical activities where the delegate will have the opportunity to design, develop, build, test and evaluate their own LabVIEW applications.

Learning objectives

  • Understand how graphical programming works
  • Master how to design dataflow blocks
  • Be familiar with block diagram models
  • Identify the practical steps necessary to build LabVIEW Applications
  • Drive up the quality of the service delivered by their team
