  • Provision and Use of Work Equipment Reg 1998
  • Personal Protection at work Reg 1998
  • Manual Handling Operations Reg 1992
  • Selection and Parts of a Stepladder and Ladder
  • Pre-use checks of a Stepladder and Ladder
  • Site risk assessment: – overhead, underground, weather, vehicles and people
  • Correct use of a Stepladder and Ladder: – mounting and dismounting
  • Secure storage of Stepladder and Ladder
  • Practical
  • Test on Theory and Practical

Who should attend

  • Anyone who is required to use a Ladder or Step Ladder and would need instruction on to use one safely.

Assessment of Training

  • Multiple-choice questions at the end of the theory and a practical assessment.

Pre training requirements

  • There are no pre requirements for this course, however a good understanding of English is beneficial.
  • Operators who successfully pass the course will receive a BTS Certificate & ID card, where applicable.
