Laser and Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) Treatments

The VTCT Level 4 Certificate in Laser and Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) Treatments is an advanced qualification that has been specifically designed for beauty therapists.

This is a vocationally related qualification and is focused on reducing hair growth and photo rejuvenation of the skin using intense pulse light and laser treatments.

This qualification requires you to develop skills to carry out IPL and laser treatments. This qualification allows you to gather evidence in a realistic working environment or real working environment without the need for fee paying clients.

Entry Requirements

Entry on to this qualification can be via previous attainment of a Beauty qualification at level 3.
Plus:

• GCSE English grade 4 or above/Level 2 English

• GCSE Maths grade 4 or above/Level 2 Maths is desirable.

How will I be assessed

As part of this qualification, you are required to produce a portfolio of evidence, which confirms the knowledge, understanding and skills that you have learnt. It may be in electronic or paper format.

Evidence in the portfolio may take the following forms:

• Observed work

• Witness statements

• Audio-visual media

• Evidence of prior learning or attainment

• Written questions

• Oral questions

• Assignments

• Case studies
