Topics covered include the legal nature of equity and debt, basic securities law, structure of the Canadian public markets, private company fundraising, public company finance, private and public mergers & acquisitions and the due diligence process.
Processes, procedures, forms of agreements and standard terms & conditions relating to corporate finance law will be discussed, with the goal of providing students with a foundational understanding of the law relevant to the process of raising capital for business growth and development.
