What is Lean Six Sigma?

• Lean Six Sigma is a method to make businesses better by cutting out mistakes and making processes more consistent. It combines Lean, which gets rid of waste like overproduction, with Six Sigma, which reduces variation in processes. Together, they help businesses improve quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

They use a method called DMAIC:

• Define: Understand the problem.
• Measure: Figure out how things are currently done.
• Analyse: Find out why there are problems.
• Improve: Make changes to fix the issues.
• Control: Put measures in place to keep things running smoothly.

For Lean Six Sigma to work well, leaders need to be fully committed and employees need to be actively involved. It’s about everyone working together to identify problems and make things better. What are the different levels of Lean Six Sigma

• White Belt: Basic introduction to Lean Six Sigma concepts and terminology, suitable for employees who will be part of improvement projects but not leading them. Duration: 1 day
• Green Belt: In-depth training in Lean Six Sigma methodologies, equipping individuals to lead improvement projects within their respective teams or departments. Duration: 3 days
• Black Belt: Intensive training for those leading complex improvement projects in the organisation. Black Belts are experts in statistical analysis and adept at driving major process improvements. Duration: 5 days
